SERRA by Birreria: A Seasonal Rooftop Restaurant

SERRA by Birreria sits at the very top of the Eataly food market in the Flat Iron District of Manhattan. Best known for it's picturesque aesthetic, this dining spot makes it onto most peoples New York City Bucket-List.

I've had the chance to visit twice, during two different seasons and its extremely fun to watch the entire atmosphere and menu of the restaurant change. During the summer, the roof if overflowing with floral arrangements, the dining room is open air and the dishes are curated to produce within season with a light feeling.

In the winter, the restaurant feels more enclosed and cozy with accents of Christmas greenery and string lights draped in every direction. The dining room is buzzing with energy; filled with guests dining with family, on dates or coworkers in conversation by the bar.

No matter what time of year you visit, expect to feel the classic New York City energy radiating from this restaurant. It always feels like the place to be!

Their food is good, although it's a bit pricey. I'd say that if you're looking for the best meal in Manhattan, keep looking -- but if you're looking for a fun vibe and a good visual experience, it's worth checking out at least once. Their drinks however, are much better and they have a variety of assorted themed cocktails based on when you go!

Currently the restaurant has been themed with a Honey + Harvest overlay. Everywhere you look there's a honeycomb hanging from the ceiling, mixed with a variety of fun and colorful displays. The menu also features honey-infused dishes and cocktails that align perfectly with their newest theme. Although I haven't seen this one myself, it seems as though they are taking Covid precautions in regards to capacity, so I may look a little different than in the past. If you decide to check it out, I'd love to hear your thoughts!
