To celebrate our upcoming "Bumble-versary" (AKA, two years since we met), Dan and I had our first ever professional photo shoot while visiting Orlando. I really wanted to have the photos done on Disney property and felt that Disney's Coronado Springs Resort was the perfect place. It's the resort that we booked our trip extension at for just the two of us, after my family went back home.
After years of following her on social media, I knew that Aliya Burshan (@aliya_burshan) was the photographer I wanted to work with. Her photos are absolutely stunning and the editing is unmatched. Booking with her was very straightforward -- I inquired about pricing through her website (www.aliyaburshan.com) and emailed about the date we wanted, to make sure she was available. We met for the photos around 9:30am on a Sunday, which worked perfectly in terms of lighting and crowds. I'd already picked the areas of the resort I wanted to shoot at, thanks to a series of blog posts on her site. These blogs showcase photo locations within different popular resorts in the area and were really helpful as someone who'd never previously stayed at the resort we were shooting at. I highly recommend checking them out!
On top of the ease of planning, we were thrilled with the experience of the actual shoot day. Neither of us are naturally great at posing when it comes to photography and were slightly nervous about looking robotic or forced. This fear immediately dissapeared when we met Aliya and were relaxed by her upbeat nature and calm demeanor. Not only did she help us pose, break the ice and give us a great tour of the resort, but she also recommended so many dining options that we hadn't considered trying yet. Overall, working with her was a great experience and we both recommend hiring her for a shoot!
Check out a handful of our photos below! I wanted to document my favorites all in one place, while also showcasing her photography talent.
