My Local Brunch Spot: Five Mile Stone

Everyone needs a good "local" and if you live in the UES, this is one place that you don't want to miss! I have been coming to Five Mile Stone since September 2018 and have frequented it SO much for brunch specifically, that I have the menu down like the back of my hand-- so TRUST in my recommendations.

Picture it-- a standard pub vibe, with a little more of a New York City flair! Its cozy interior suits winter weather perfectly when you want a warm and welcoming bar to watch football in. Then, over the summer, it transforms into an open air bar-- the doors and second floor patio open and the energy is even more lively.

Being a quick walk from my apartment, this bar has become a staple in my "NYC tour" when friends come into town to visit me. I have been able to share countless stories, laughs and amazing memories with friends and family, over a plate of french toast and bottomless mimosas (because how many mimosas are acceptable for brunch? The limit does not exist).

Brunch runs on Saturday and Sunday from 10AM-4PM and the menu has a good variety! So whether you prefer savory or sweet when it comes to brunch fare, there is an option here for you. Something else to remember-- every brunch entree comes with a FREE brunch beverage of your choice. The Free Alcohol options are a: Peach or Raspberry Bellini and a Mimosa.

My Top 3 Picks from the Brunch Menu:

1. Classic Eggs Benedict (I get this almost every single time)

2. Challah French Toast (Pictured above-- pretty sweet-- but FAB)

3. Breakfast Burger (You can't really go wrong with this one)

*Also the peach Bellini's are my FAVORITE!

I hope that if you live in NYC and venture up to the UES, you'll give it a try! Even if you're on vacation, it's worth the stop whether for brunch, dinner or even just a quick drink. It's located on 2nd Avenue, just one block from the 86th Street Q Station so it's very easy to get to no matter what the weather. Make sure to let me know what you think if you do stop by!

Happy Brunching!

xx
